Welcome to our Website!
The Financial Reporting Enforcement Panel (FREP) has been examining financial reporting of companies listed in the regulated market in Germany since 1.7.2005.
Enforcement of financial reporting is performed in Germany in two stages; the first stage involves a government-appointed privately organised institution, the FREP with the Enforcement Panel as its active body, while the second stage is performed by the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (“Bundesanstalt für Finanzdienstleistungsaufsicht” – BaFin), which has sovereign authority.
Our mission statement is as follows:
In the interest of the capital market, we wish to contribute to truthful and transparent accounting of capital market oriented companies. Our actions are based on the purpose of accounting and the related accounting standards, high professional quality, personal integrity and independence, excellence in our work and a reasonable sense of proportion.
